@dtwohigs Mets Library #39: A Dream Season
The 86 Mets team was quite prolific with at least 7 members penning books (Keith, Darryl, Doc, Ron, Gary, Lenny, and Davey) – some more than one.
Carter wrote 2 books -A Dream Season was his first, published in 1987 following the World Series victory. I like this book far more than his later one (which as I said earlier seemed to be a calling card to be a manager).

Someone is searching Google for The Mets are a joke
As we learn in this article, the Mets are not only pond scum, they are a joke…but at least they aren’t relics like the Royals.
IMPORTANT: Google auto-fill hates Mets, Dodgers, Royals – CBSSports.com.
An earlier version of this post made light of the Google search “The Mets are melting away” which is what caught my eye..especially on this snowy day. It was brought to my attention that such a search islikelier elated to cancer. My goal is never to offend, just to have fun…so I have tweaked the post.
